Do you have two or more computers from which you are able to download from your email accounts? Are you losing track of which computer has your most recent email?
This is the type of situation that some people encounter if they have a computer at work and a computer at home and they want to receive email from their accounts to both computers. The problem is that when you check your email, Outlook Express and the other versions of Outlook will automatically download and remove the messages from your internet service provider's (ISP) email server. Then you end up with some email at your work computer and some email on your home computer.
There is a simple workaround and it only involves deciding which computer, work or home, will be the final download site for all of your email. Let's say you simply want to read your email at work but then want to be able to download it at home for permanent storage. All you have to do is configure your work computer to leave a copy of your messages on the server.
On your work computer, click on menu item "Tools -> Accounts -> Mail Tab" and then highlight your email account and click the "Properties" button.
Next, click on the "Advanced" tab and select any combinations in the "Deliver" section that you want.

As you can see from the available options, you can select to "Leave a copy of messages on the server" and even decide how many days to leave them there. There is also a slick option to "Remove them from the server when deleted from the Deleted Items".
Leave you home computer settings unchanged. This way when you check your email at home the messages will be permanently downloaded from your ISP's email server.
Using these options can help you manage your email between two different computers using the same email account. Then you'll be able to read your email from your work computer and download it permanently at home.
