Is your Windows XP Desktop hopelessly cluttered with tons of shortcuts?
Sometimes we neglect to clean off our Windows XP desktops and shortcuts collect over time. Eventually we have have so many we can't even see our underlying wallpaper. This makes it difficult to find the few shortcuts that we do use regularly.
Windows XP provides an easy way to clear off your desktop and here's how:
1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Properties".
(Click for full size)
2. Click the "Desktop" tab.
(Click for full size)
3. Click the "Customize Desktop" button.
(Click for full size)
4. Finally, click the "Clean Desktop Now" button to go launch the "Desktop Cleanup Wizard".
(Click for full size)
5. Now just follow the Desktop Cleanup Wizards instuctions and your unused desktop items will be placed into a folder called "Unused Desktop Items" for later reference. You can always click and drag them back onto your desktop if you decide you need them later.
