Do you want to create a listing of all the email addresses you have in your Outlook Express Address Book?
This process of exporting items from your Address Book is useful if you have too many email addresses to type out manually into a list. You can also use this process to update the "Friendly From Addresses" used in Spamweasel.
Follow these steps to create a listing of all of your email addresses contained in your Outlook Express Address Book:
1. Open Outlook Express and then click on menu "File -> Export -> Address Book".
2. Highlight "Text File (Comma Separated Values)" and click the "Export" button.
3. Click the "Browse" button, select a folder location to save the file, change the "File name" line to something similar to "addresses", change the "Save as type" dropdown selection to "Text Files (*.txt)", and click the "Save" button.
4. Click the "Next" button on the resulting CSV Export" dialog box.
5. Remove the checkmarks from all of the fields in the list except "E-mail Address" and click the "Finish" button.
6. You should receive the following message box:
7. Finally, browse to the folder location on your computer where you saved this "addresses.txt" file and use Notepad or Wordpad to open it. You can then highlight all of the addresses so you can copy and paste them into Spamweasel's "Friendly From Addresses".
