Bright Ideas Computing - Kerrville, Texas
Mailbox Quota Was Exceeded

1. Please CLICK HERE to read our disclaimer before getting started. Be sure to read through this entire article before you actually start and if you DO NOT feel comfortable performing these steps, then STOP and DO NOT PROCEED any further.

You receive an email stating the following...

Warning!

Your mailbox quota was exceeded. All messages to your address will be rejected.
Please, free space in the mailbox or contact server administrator.

This message is automatically generated, please do not reply to it.

This message means that you need to clean out your mailbox on the server. There is a mailbox quota limit imposed on the email accounts in order to protect the website from becoming suspended by exceeding your disk space quota.

How can you prevent this from happening?

a. Check your email frequently.

b. Don't enable the "Leave a copy of messages on the server" option in Outlook Express.

c. Discourage others from sending very large attachments to you.

For example, five images that exceed 1 megabyte each will quickly consume your mailbox and you will no longer receive additional email until you download your existing email or clean out your mailbox on the server by logging into your Horde WebMail.

If you cannot download your email using Outlook Express, then you will need to log into your Horde WebMail to clean out your mailbox. Click the following link for further instructions...
