NOTE: Email and internet connectivity issues invariably turn out to be internet service provider or local area networking related.
Sometimes you'll try to send email but you may receive error messages or dialog boxes asking you to input your user name and password. You may also be unable to open your website that is hosted on our server. Before you call us to troubleshoot email or website connectivity issues, you should first verify that you have a good internet connection. Perform the following steps to make sure you have a good internet connection.
1. Close your Outlook Express and any error message windows.
2. Open an internet browser window and go to any external website. You might think you are able to see the internet because the page is displayed but it may simply be a cached copy from your local computer.
3. Click your internet browser's "Refresh" button. If you receive any error messages such as "This page cannot be displayed" then try going to another website and again click your "Refresh button. If you receive the same errors, then you have a problem with your internet connection.
4. Disconnect from your internet service provider if you are using a modem to dial up to your internet.
5. Try to reconnect to your internet service provider. If you cannot reconnect to the internet, then you should call your internet service provider for assistance.
6. If you are using an ADSL modem (always on) to connect to the internet, turn it off for about a minute and then power it back up again. If you cannot reconnect to the internet, then you should call your internet service provider for assistance.
NOTE: After your internet service provider has helped you to reconnect to the internet, you can open your Outlook and your email will be delivered and you will be able to see your hosted domain's website again.
