Minimum Student Requirements:
Non-magnetic phillips head screwdriver. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. High-speed broadband internet service.
Entire Course Includes Up To 4 Hours of Instruction This
course consists of three sessions with up to 4 total hours of one-on-one
instruction. The first session will teach you the fundamentals of
selecting and ordering the right
components for your custom-built computer. The second session will
teach you how to assemble
and test your hardware components. The final session will teach you how to install your operating system and
connect to the internet.
Session 1 - Planning and Ordering Your Components (1 hour - $62.00)
How to determine your hardware requirements. How to determine your software requirements. How to select an on-line vendor. How to read and understand Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). How to safely order components on-line.
Session 2 - Assembling Your New Computer (1 hours - $62.00)
How to inventory and inspect your hardware components. How to safely handle your hardware components. How to assemble your hardware components. How to test your hardware components.
Session 3 - Installing Your Operating System (2 hours - $124.00)
How to install your operating system. How to install your motherboard drivers. How to install your anti-virus software. How to connect to the internet. How to set up your POP3 email account.
Class Scheduling The
recommended class scheduling is Monday
thru Friday, 12:00 pm thru 8:00 pm. Scheduling for the second session
will occur after the student's components have arrived.
Payment Options You can pay for the entire course
up-front or pay-as-you-go at the conclusion of each session. This gives
you the flexibility to tailor the course sessions around your
schedule or financial requirements. You may also request and pay for additional time if you
need refresher training or additional tutoring in related hardware component subjects.
