That's why this newsletter is not just full of computer-related information, but also includes entertainment and educational items to tickle the brain cells. There's something of interest for everyone in here so feel free to share this issue and pass it along to your friends and family...

What's In Here?

Lots of cool, fun, and informative stuff every week!

I'm dubbing this week's issue the Louis Armstrong Edition. On this day in 1957, Louis Armstrong, the famous jazz musician, announces that he will not participate in a U.S. government-sponsored tour of the Soviet Union. Armstrong was angy over the situation in Little Rock, Arkansas, where white mobs and armed National Guardsmen had blocked the entrance of African-American students into the all-white Central High School.

Our Ctrl-Alt-Backspace section includes special click-links to transport you to educational and informational websites about Louis Armstrong.

Why is a Bright Ideas Computing custom-built PC a good idea?
It's tough being stuck with an OEM computer with limited upgrade capabilities. The cost of upgrading it is prohibitively expensive and that's why companies such as Dell, Gateway, IBM and others build their computers with proprietary parts. This way you get to spend money on a whole new computing system in another 18 months or so. Click to read entire article...

Responsible Pet Owner Discount Program
Bright Ideas Computing promotes and supports responsible pet ownership and wants to encourage everyone to help in the fight against pet over-population.

That's why we will offer a 10% discount off our computer service and repair labor charges to any customer who has had their pet spayed or neutered within 90 days. The best part is that this discount will apply to multiple service calls over a ninety day period! In some cases, this could actually pay for the spay or neuter fees they incurred as Responsible Pet Owners!

All you have to do to qualify for this discount is to show us your spay or neuter certificate showing that it was performed within the past 90 days and you will receive 10% labor charge discounts for a full ninety day period after the actual spay or neuter date.

By the way, if you are looking to add a new family member, you might call on Kerrville's local Freeman-Fritts Pet Center at 257-4144. For more information check out their website at...
