Welcome to another issue of our weekly newsletter!

Something for everyone.

No one can dispute that the human brain is the greatest computer of all time! But sometimes it requires a little nudge to grow new cells. I also happen to believe that hardware computers are very useful tools which can help to provide that nudge. That's why this newsletter is not just full of computer-related information, but also includes entertainment and educational items to tickle the brain cells. There's something of interest for everyone in here so feel free to share this issue and pass it along to your friends and family...

What's In Here?

Lots of cool, fun, and informative stuff every week!
I'm dubbing this week's issue the Memorial Day Edition. Our Ctrl-Alt-Backspace section includes special click-links to transport you to educational and informational websites about this important American holiday.

Going to El Paso From Kerrville? Go FAST!!
You can now get there a bit faster since the Texas Department of Transportation recently approved an increase in the speed limit from 75 up to 80 miles per hour. This is now the fastest 432 mile stretch of highway in the nation. But be careful because with increased speedS will also come increased fatalities. You can also expect to pay more for fuel because estimates have shown that every 5 mph over 60 is like paying an extra 20 cents per gallon for gas.

I'm Tired of The Same Old Restaurant Rice!
It doesn't matter if you go to Taco Bell or Mamacita's. All of their rice tastes the same. Often it tastes like bland Uncle Ben's Instant Rice. Enough is enough already and I want some good rice if I go out to eat. Here is a wonderful recipe for Puerto Rican rice that knocks the socks off any rice prepared by any local restaurant. In fact, I would challenge anyone to a taste test using this recipe. We often enjoy this style of rice at home because no local restaurants have this great recipe. Enjoy!

What is Range Highlighting?
Range highlighting is when you want to select a block of items in a listing. For example, let's say you have a ton of email in your Outlook Express Inbox folder but you don't want to delete them all. Maybe you only want to delete the emails from Susie Doe. In that case, click the "From" title in the header column to sort all you email by sender. Then scroll down to the first Susie Doe email message and click to highlight it. Then scroll down to the last Susie Doe email message and press and hold your "Shift" key while clicking it. There, now you will have range highlighted all of Susie Doe's email messages and you can click the Delete button to send them all to the "Deleted Items" folder.
