VERY IMPORTANT
ANNOUNCEMENT! Beginning with this week's issue
you will NOT be able to just hit your "Reply" button if you want to comment about anything in this newsletter. This is because I'm setting it up
on a new subscription-based software called "MailMan" powered by
Python and direct replies will be restricted. So instead of hitting your email's "Reply" button, I've placed a new click-link near the top of this newsletter called "Reply to".
It's located just above our sponsorship ad-spots. That click-link will
launch an independent email window for any comments or inquiries you
want to submit.

How To Hide Your Email Address From Spammers There
are a couple of ways to hide your email addresses listed on your
website from spammers' automatic email harvesting software. The first
way is to use this simple javascript in your website's HTML code at the insertion point where
you want to place an email click-link...
<script language="Javascript"> <!-- var name = "account" var domain = "yourdomain.com" var realname = "The Click-Link Text" document.write("<a href='mailto:" + name + "@" + domain + "'>") document.write(realname) document.write("</a>") //--> </script>
Simply replace the "account" variable with the part of your email address that shows up in front of the "@" symbol, replace the "yourdomain.com" variable with the part of your email address that shows up after the "@" symbol and finally, replace the "The Click-Link Text" variable with the text you want your readers to click to generate an email.
The
only drawback to this javascript method is when an internet reader has
completely turned off their browser's response to javascript.
Therefore, you might want consider including a notation that they'll
need to enable javascript before they can click your link to send you
an email. Or you can try one of my favorite second methods...
