Welcome to
another issue of our weekly newsletter!
Something
for everyone.
No
one can dispute that the human brain is the greatest computer of all
time! But sometimes it requires a little nudge to grow new
cells. I also happen to
believe that hardware computers are very useful tools
which can
help to provide that nudge. That's why this
newsletter is not just full of computer-related information, but also
includes entertainment and educational items to tickle the brain cells.
There's something of interest for everyone in here so feel free to
share this issue and pass it along to your
friends and family...
What's In Here?
Lots of cool,
fun, and
informative stuff every week!

I'm dubbing this
week's issue
the Otis Redding Edition.
On this day in 1967, a plane crash in Madison, Wisconsin, kills
soul singer Otis Redding and members of the Bar-Kays band. Four months
after his death at the age of 26, Otis Redding’s "(Sittin’
on the) Dock of the Bay," the last song he ever recorded, reached the
top spot on the pop music charts. It was his first No. 1 hit.
Our Ctrl-Alt-Backspace
section includes special click-links to
transport you
to educational and informational websites
about Otis Redding.

these links to go

Trojan disguised as Vista activator
"Users testing a final version of
Vista that are tempted to activate it illegally, should beware.
Circulating in P2P networks is what purports to be an activation hack
for Microsoft's latest operating system - anyone running the file to
carry out the supposed activation will find themselves installing a
trojan." Click to read entire article...

Is there a homosexuality gene?
"Although biologists are still far
from answering this question, scattered evidence for a possible gene
influencing sexual orientation has recently encouraged scientists to
map out a guide to future research. Because many possibilities for such
a gene exist, scientists Sergey Gavrilets and William Rice have
recently developed some theoretical guidelines and testable predictions
for explaining the evolutionary causes of homosexuality." Click to read entire article...
