Microsoft's Official Windows Vista Site
Here is the official site for information about Microsoft's upcoming release of their newest operating system called Vista. This means Windows XP will eventually be phased out (they hope) and everyone will convert quickly (they hope) to Vista. The release date keeps changing but is scheduled for sometime late in 2006 (they hope).

What To Do About Spam Email?
I am frequently asked about spam email and how it can be stopped. There is no easy answer to the spam email problem and even Congress passing the recent anti-spam legislation has done little to slow the growth of spam. But there are some things you, at the individual grass roots level, can do to fight back against spam. Here are some "do" and "don't" pointers...

1. Don't reply to spam email. Chances are they'll never see your reply.
2. Don't fall for those "click here to unsubscribe" tricks. Chances are it will merely verify your email address as a valid recipient. Then they'll sell your address to another spammer.
3. Do use any available spam filters at the server level.
4. Do use your SpamAssassin Training Filter in your Plesk Control Panel.
5. Do set up any available spam filters at your email client level.
6. Do set up filter rules in your email client to move spam away from your Inbox.
7. Do keep one email address as junk-level if you must register somewhere on-line.
8. Do keep one email address as private as possible for trusted friends and relatives.

Finally, if spam email becomes totally unbearable then do request a change of email address. You'd be surprised how fast you stop receiving spam email when your email address is changed to a completely new one you've never used before. But do make sure to alert all your friends, relatives, acquaintances, and business associates in advance of your email change. I'd recommend at least two weeks in advance.

Changing your email address will instantly stop 99.9% of all spam email. But over time it will come back again. Remember, once your email address gets out on the internet in the form of click-links on your website, registrations on unscrupulous websites, or hijacked from someone else's computer by a trojan worm, the spam will eventually creep back up to enormous levels. But keep on fighting back!

Autostarting Your Programs
Email is very important to me so I would like it to launch automatically each time I start my Linspire computer. Setting up a program to autostart in Linspire Linux is easy, just follow these simple steps...

1. Click "Launch -> Settings -> Additional Options -> Programs to Autostart". Another window will appear with any other programs that are already listed to autostart.

2. Click "Launch -> Run Programs" and then select the category where the program is located that you want to autostart.

3. Finally, click-and-drag the program that you want to autostart into the underlying autostart window you generated in step 1 and click "Copy Here" when you release the mouse button.

Now each time your computer starts up in the morning, your program will automatically start up for you. Programs can be removed from autostart simply by performing step 1 and then deleting the appropriate icon from the autostart programs window.
